I am putting up for sale my private set of reference amplifiers from TLA (which makes some of the world’s very best transformers for tube amplifiers.) They are only sold to finance a transition to an active system with a good number of more amplifiers. These 211 monoblocks were previously in production and were called Ikarus, but the company switched to slightly more commercial hybrid designs. At my request, these were specially made for me and were the designer’s own dream amplifier which is then "one of a kind". I have had many great tube amplifiers, including the signature models from Absolare, and these from TLA are significantly better in dynamics, openness and soul. These are completely silent - something they should be in this price range. TLA Ikarus delivers 25W class A, and has 211, 300b and 6sn7 tubes. Here only the best parts are used, both in silver and in copper - and these monoblocks are in the same class as Ongaku and Gakuon from AN and Kondo. But - these are made with specifications from a perfectionist. With history in transformer winding back to the 30/40s, it goes without saying that they know their craft. There is no nonsense here such as transformer hum, hiss or noise! In my horn setup with 105 db / W ++, it is silent. These are built to perform, and I do not think anyone can do better than this. The sale price of these is € 89,000 And for the price, there is nothing else that competes. These come in wooden boxes and can be sent at the buyer’s risk.
