Teo Audio CBP MM Cartridge Nude Elliptical NEW VERSION

What you are looking at and is being offered is a NEW version of
the basic cartridge that also has a nude elliptical stylus, which is
also replaceable by the end user. 

We're confident enough of the quality of the basic cartridge,
that we have decided to offer a 'money back if you do not like it'
return warranty on the base 'bonded elliptical' equipped version.   If you
don't like it and it's less than two weeks in your possession, then
send it back for a full refund, IF the cartridge is assessed by us, upon
return, to be in proper originally shipped undamaged condition. (we
expect stylus wear, but not that it be run over by your car or other
extremes)

The nude elliptical version is notably more expensive so, no satisfaction warranty on this one. Sorry! We'd have to be madder than we already are!
FYI, the basic shipped color is black. the one on the left in the line-up. If you'd like one of the other colors, ask. But, not the blue one that is up front. It won't stick properly to the new cartridge body.

This note came in the other day (about the base bonded elliptical version): "I heard your
basic cartridge on a Jean Nantais turntable and was gobsmacked." 

(A Jean Nantais Turntable is a highly customized Lenco idler wheel design.
Which usually has a tonearm that is normally  ~10x$ more the price of
the cartridge that was being used in the report)

Introducing the Teo Audio 'CBP' Moving Magnet Phono Cartridge.


There are Ten (10) different changes to the basic cartridge, each
designed to drop either mechanical noise or electromagnetic noise out of
the system, for the best/lowest overall noise floor possible, in either
static or dynamic terms.

Removal of all this self noise and susceptibility, without overdamping, is key.


The result is a sound you may not have ever heard before, except with
some of the best Moving Coil cartridges... and only partially available
in the best Moving Magnet/Moving Iron cartridges.

The work involved in making each cartridge is...extensive.


The advantage of this cartridge, is that one can move up from a basic
0.3x0.7 elliptical version (this one here) to a more advanced stylus
and cantilever type, without having to return the cartridge and pay a
notable sum. One can shop anywhere for price in the replacements, which
are widely available. - and also keep spares. And play. Play with
various stylus profiles and cantilever types. All while listening to,
what we feel, is nearing the best sound quality that can be delivered
out of each type and make.

As long as the motor (cartridge
body) is working, one can 'DIY' the stylus, akin to using a normal MM
cartridge. The advanced cartridge body and motor, is key, here...


In our opinion, this cartridge is competitive with the best MM
cartridges out there today and in some ways (one might find), important
ways, exceeds them all. We hope you find this to be a viable alternative
to well respected mid level MC cartridges and top shelf MM/MI
cartridges.

This particular design (the body) is 3D Printed.
Printed right at the limits of the 3D Technology that is available
today. 3D printing technology, the type utilized here... had to advance
enough to make this cartridge possible. And it has, and so the cartridge
is now here. 

Complete with necessary mounting hardware.
Three lengths of non magnetic button head hex screws (three pairs), 
various washers, and a High quality hex wrench. And a ridiculously
robust stylus guard for storage and shipping.

It tracks
best at a starting point of about 2.0g, with a level body (parallel to
the record), and comes in at ~6.9g of mass. Medium mass arms are
compatible, with the extremes in arm mass (High or very low) being
potentially problematic, which is normal, for most cartridges.

the stylus will last an approximate 800 hrs, being an elliptical. Shibata, 800 to 1000, and the micro-line, 1000 on average as a minimum (better lasting profile)
As for a replacement price for the stylus.....hmm.. best to get it where you want it. The replacement stylus is purchased by you, anywhere you want to
buy it. It is an audio technica type, available from many hundreds of
different places, even off market shibata types (jico, lp gear, etc),
whatever.

You buy it at the lowest price from the best vendor of your choice and
you need nothing from us.

We hold you to nothing. After you buy it and it works, the motor/body
tends to last forever. And it's DIY on the stylus.
