Siefert Research Maxim III loudspeakers in real walnut veneer.
One of the first speakers ever recommended by Stereophile. Beautifully made in the USA using premium Dynaudio and SEAS drivers. Originally $599 in 1985 - more than $1,550 in 2021 dollars.
Very good physical condition considering their age. One of the metal dome tweeters has a dimple that is exaggerated by the mesh covering and the camera; it is completely inaudible.
Needless to say, it would be impossible to buy a speaker for less than $300 today that has these quality drivers and real wood cabinets (if you can find one - buy it!).
Stereophile Volume 9, Number 7:
"Beautifully balanced, very natural, accurate midrange, almost perfectly neutral, slightly warm, soft, smooth highs, very good detail and inner definition, surprisingly deep and concussive bass, clean and relaxed sound at high listening levels, excellent imaging and sound staging."
