English Electric 8Switch in very good condition; there are several very small, dot-like scratches on the top of the aluminum case (see pics).  Bought new earlier this year. This is a high spec switch that significantly improves the sound of digital playback.  It includes eight audio grade 100/1000 Base-T gigabit Ethernet ports that generate higher accuracy network signals through the use of a customized TCXO (Temperature Compensation Crystal Oscillator) with an accuracy of .1 ppm.  The power supply and clock generation circuits each have two electrical noise isolation circuits that stabilize the network signals.  In addition, an EMI absorber further reduces noise from the digital circuit and resonance-damping feet help to decouple the 8Switch from unwanted mechanical vibration.  Measurements indicate an improved network signal performance of up to 90%.
The Ethernet cable from the modem/router is connected to the IN port and various digital sources are connected to one of the seven OUT ports.  It comes with a 32" Ethernet streaming cable made by the manufacturer, the Chord Company.  Dimensions are 6" x 3.5" x 1.5".  Free UPS ground shipping to buyers living in the continental U.S.
