For sale is an ABSOLUTE MINT Rogue Audio Sphinx tube hybrid integrated amplifier (original version) --- 100% hand assembled in the U.S.A. at the Rouge Audio factory in Brodheadsville, Pennsylvania.

 

This unit has hardly been used at all!  It was in my spare bedroom with the equipment shown in the first photo.



It has less than 4 hours on it!!



I am selling it because I ended up never using this backup system in my spare bedroom.



There is not one mark, nick, or scratch on this unit—it is in pristine condition and basically brand new!



Unfortunately, I do not have the original box.  I accidentally left it in the attic at my previous residence when I moved.  But I do have everything else, including original manual and Rogue Audio’s famous “skeleton” remote control for the Sphinx.



This is a great integrated amplifier!  It has a high-quality Avel Lindberg power transformer; a 12AU7 tube line stage with three inputs, and a phono stage input with 40dB of gain. It also has two RCA outputs: a fixed RCA output for a separate headphone amp or recording; and a variable buffered RCA output for driving a second amp or a single—or a pair—of subwoofers.



It puts out 100 watts per channel into 8 Ohms; 200 watts into 4 Ohms.  This unit can drive just about any speaker you connect it to!
