Naim Audio CD-5 ... 13% REDUCTION

Not the original owner. I'm selling because I upgraded to a CDX2. The CD5 has fantastic sound quality on its own, but it can be upgraded to even better performance with the addition of a Flatcap or HiCap power supply. In this respect, the CD5 is typically considered a better player than the newer CD5i, which does not offer any upgrade options. For anybody looking to get into the Naim sound without having to pay an arm and a leg, or for anybody looking to upgrade from a CD3 or similar, this is an absolutely wonderful player, and can easily change your perspective on what digital audio should sound like.

You can see from the photos that this player has been well taken care of, and is in good condition. Overall condition is 7/10 per the Audiogon rating system. It is missing the rubber rings from the two rear feet. Replacements can be acquired through your local Naim dealer inexpensively, but I didn't find that this had any effect on the sound quality or operation of the unit, as I always used it on a very solid rack.

The player includes: The original Naim power cord, 5 pin Naim SNAIC cable, Naim NARCOM-3 remote, transport screw, and the magnetic puck. I do not have the manual, but it is available online from Naim's website.

The player will be securely packaged and shipped, or can be picked-up locally in the San Francisco Bay Area. The previous owner discarded the original box, but if you require shipping, I will use my CDX2 box, and an additional outer box (buyer to pay actual packaging & shipping costs based on your location and desired carrier and class of shipping service).
