SALE PENDING Hello. I've had this preamp for about a year, now. I've recapped three of these over the years for myself and friends. Krell charges over $600 for this service so this is a very good value. The sound is awesome. One of my very favorite solid state preamps. Very resolving with excellent midrange purity. Highs are smooth and clean. Bass (of course) is deep, tight and controlled with explosive dynamics.
The Capacitor are Nichicon "Audio Grade" capacitors. Better than the stock standard grade ones. The upgrade seemed to wake the unit up. It was sounding a bit slow before. I've upgraded 100s of pieces of audio equipment so no worries on workmanship. Look at my feedback. A lot of the pieces I sell, I've refurbished.
