I am the original owner of this ARC PH3 and it has never had any problems or servicing. If functions as expected. The input impedance (user changeable load impedance relative to the cartridge) is currently set at 100 ohms via two precision load resistors (2nd to last photo), a value that is suitable for many low impedance moving-coil cartridges. Of course it can be changed to any value recommended by the cartridge manufacturer with the default being 47k (ie. no resistors installed), a value most moving magnet cartridges expect. If you'd like I can remove the 100 ohm resistors.
The ARC PH3 phono preamplifier has very wide bandwidth, low distortion and low noise with 54dB of gain. It uses three 6922 (E88cc) tubes. Sonically it has a beautiful natural balance and a sense of space and depth.
The last photo shows the slight mark below the MUTE/OPERATE switch.
