I’ve reached an age where I’m worried about burdening my heirs:  I have five different audio systems, and someone soon will have to find a new home for all of these systems.   I’ve decided to begin the process myself by parting with one of my favorites, the Klipschorns.  See elsewhere for the advertisement for the EICO tube amplifier that I use.  I wanted these classic Khorns for years, and after finally purchasing and updating them, they’ve definitely met all my expectations.  The Klipschorns have been rewired, the tweeters have been replaced with Crites CT125 models, and the crossovers have been replaced with Crites AK-3.  The speakers are finished in walnut and are in very good condition; there is one tiny blemish on the side (as shown in the photo.)  One of the remarkable characteristics of these speakers is their incredible efficiency: when coupled with the EICO HF-86 amp (with 14 watts of power per channel) these speakers reproduce audio from a whisper to a pipe organ, and do so cleanly.  To understand, try to play this on your system at the appropriate volume, but don’t blame me if you break something;  I hesitate to play this at a realistic volume on any of my other systems:

The speakers can be powered with any amplifier, but Paul Klipsch designed these to pair with the low power tube amps available at that time.  (I’ve always wanted try to a 1 watt 300B amp but never got around to it.)

Note that the left and right speakers have sequential serial numbers, as do the upper and lower units.

Speakers are finished in walnut, have black cloth weave grill, and weigh about 150 pounds each.

I’m listing them at a greatly reduced price (about 25% of retail) because I would quickly like to see them find a good home locally.  Local delivery is free, but I would prefer not to ship or deliver elsewhere because of their size (and my age); shipping and delivery are negotiable, though.
