Conrad Johnson TEA2 HG MAX

The TEA2 is the phono preamp just below Conrad Johnson's flagship TEA1.  This is the model that has the full Conrad Johnson parts upgrade, including the highest quality resistors and the legendary Conrad Johnson teflon capacitors.   It is the high gain version with 54 dB of gain.  It allows for adjustment of the cartridge resistive load via a set of dip switches inside the unit.   I have only used it with Lyra cartridges, specifically the Delos, Kleos, and Etna.  It is a great match for LOMC cartridges in general.  The Lyras are rated at .5 mV output.  It would probably not be a great match for Super LOMC cartridges (those rated under .35 mV.  The three tubes are TAD 12AX7A-C selected.   They each sport a pair of tube dampers, and they have less than 100 hours of use. I installed them new in May of 2019, but this unit is a spare, and has only been used occasionally.   I also have a TEA1, and an ARC REF Phono 3.   It will ship in factory packaging with power cord and owner's manual.  Until I bought the TEA1, this was the most beautiful sounding phono preamp I'd ever owned.  It is very close to the TEA1 in my opinion.
