One of a kind, Nordost custom made these cables upon my request:
Dual mono XLR for L and R channel (the stock cable has only one stereo balanced XLR)
The wiring is double. Check the close up pictures, each channel uses a stereo cable which in practice doubles the gauge over the stock cable and reason why they used a sock to keep them together.
Extra length of 3 meters with no use of extensions.
Included are an adaptor from dual mono XLR to stereo XLR and jack adaptor.
The story behind is that after having bought and sold many headphone amplifier I finally found a very good one the Malvalve that has L and R balanced outputs. After some listening I decided to take full advantage of this type of connection and asked Nordost to build a "double" Heimdall 2.
Since I already had a stock Heimdall 2, I had the opportunity of and A-B comparative listening session and the result were extraordinary. The double wiring turns this good cable in something just short of amazing.
