The MiniMax DAC Junior is a compact, easy to use, solid performing DAC perfect for your desktop or compact audiophile setup. Simply plug into the USB interface and listen away! Couldn’t be simpler!

What’s been upgraded? Well, first we tossed the stock op amps and replaced them with Staccato Full-Discrete Op Amps. If you have never heard of Staccato, or discrete op amps at all, do your research. These bad boys are not just a nominal upgrade, but a complete transformation. They improve the sound of the DAC in every way: highs are cleaner and smoother, bass is more defined and more impactful, the background is blacker and the whole thing moves with better micro and macro dynamics.

In addition to the op amps, I have replaced the voltage regulators for the DAC and output stages with Sparkos fully-discrete regulators. Not as dramatic as the op-amp upgrades, but they provide additional clarity, dimension and compelling midrange to the sound.
