Fisher 500-C FINAL PRICE BREAK

FINAL PRICE BREAK!  Vintage Fisher 500-C receiver in excellent condition.  All functions work as intended, the faceplate and glass are blemish-free, all knobs are original, and the cabinet is excellent (with the exception of one small chip on top, see photos).  It sounds wonderful with my equally vintage (and fully restored) AR3a speakers.  I'm the second owner.  I bought it from the original owner (a veteran who bought it new in a European PX - see photos) in 2009.  I immediately took it to my tech.  He installed a new bias rectifier and cathode resistors, as suggested in Stereophile's 2005 review of the Fisher 500-C, checked B+ and bias, touched-up FM alignment, and provided new power tubes.  Two years ago, I replaced the power tubes with a fresh set of matched JJ Electronic 7591S tubes from Amplified Parts.  Two months ago, I returned it to my tech for a check-up.  He cleaned tube sockets, touched-up some soldered connections, and gave it a clean bill of health.  I feel confident saying this unit is about as good as you will find from both a cosmetic and an operational perspective.  Original owners and service manuals included, along with some promotional literature.  This receiver is HEAVY.  I'm willing to ship, and I'll pack carefully, but I will charge buyer actual shipping charge.  I prefer FEDEX ground.  Local buyer welcome to audition and pick-up.  PayPal welcome, but please add 3.5% to cover their charge.  Reason for sale: moving in a different vintage direction.
