Selling my Sean Jacobs DC 3/4 linear power supply. Two rails, both 5v, up to 5amps each rail. I'm the original owner. Bought from and built by the Sean Jacob's US distributor, Nenon, six months ago. 4.5 years left on the transferable warranty.
Here's a list of the upgrades over the regular DC3 LPS:
Extra 5v rail
Two DC4 Regulator modules (All Mundorf Capacitors)
Two DC4 Recap modules
Furutech inlet
Grounding post
Internal Mundorf silver/gold wiring
Two DC cables .75 meters each made with 15 gauge Mundorf copper Angelique wire
It’s mainly DC4 parts inside a DC3 case, hence the DC3/4. This is not the DC4 Lite. This version has both the DC4 Regulator Modules ($2,000 upgrade) & the DC4 Recap modules ($1,500 upgrade). To build the same build would cost more than $6,000 and a number of months to have it built. A DC4 would be around $6,800 with the same Mundorf wiring options. With this unit you are getting the DC4 sound at a huge discount. Plus it takes around four months for the Mundorf capacitors to fully break in, so this unit comes already broken in.
If you are not familiar with Sean Jacobs power supplies, check out the audiobacon review of the Sean Jacobs LPS. He puts the Sean Jacobs at the top of the list for best LPS.
I purchased this particular LPS to go for the best. I’ve had Paul Hynes, Farad, Jcat, and a whole list of other power supplies, and I can say without a doubt this is the best sounding my system has ever sounded.
I used this gently to power my Jcat pcie card and Pink Faun pcie card. One DC cable is fitted with a 2.5mm and the other a 2.1mm end. I’ll include an 2.5mm to 2.1mm adapter if you need it for the dc end connector. This LPS can also power a network switch or router that requires a 5v input. Everything works perfectly with no marks or scratches.
If you need other voltage configurations, I would think you could send it to the Sean Jacobs US distributor and have the voltage output changed, but check with them first beforehand to confirm.
Selling because I'm selling off most of my server and pcie cards and no longer need this LPS.
