Basis Audio 2000 Turntable

For Sale is a Basis 2000 turntable with a Basis/Rega tonearm in very good condition. It comes with a Basis tonearm that is basically a Rega 3 that Basis modified for its turntables some years ago. The tonearm is very good and even supported a Benz Ruby 3 low output MC. The table is drilled for a Basis (Vector) tonearm, but adapter collars can be purchased from Basis for Graham and possibly other tonearms. I had a Vector 3 on this table and it was amazing, so there is room to upgrade if you desire. I've had no problems with the table, except for the cuing lift on the tonearm was sticking, so I replaced the cuing mechanism with a new one purchased from an authorized Rega dealer. The motor comes with a stock power cord, but as you can see from the photos, it is easily removed so you can use your favorite power cord.

The only difference between a 2000 and 2001 is that a 2001 has suspension pods for the feet, whereas the feet on the 2000 are solid. This is an older 2000 model that has been very well cared for and does not have Signature upgrades. I have the original boxes for all of the parts except the tonearm, but it will be well packed for safe shipping. The table is available for local pick up, but I do not have a cartridge mounted on it, so an audition is not possible.  Shipping and insurance by Fed Ex or UPS Ground will be $60.
