I am selling my near flawless McIntosh MX-160.  I purchased this unit, and many other McIntosh Hi-Fi pieces, brand new to build the theater of my dreams.  I watched approximately 10 movies in my dream theater before having a job transfer.  So, all of my equipment has been sitting fully boxed, in the original McIntosh boxes, in climate controlled storage for the past year.  I have all original packaging boxes, paperwork, room correction microphone with stand, remote control, which has never had batteries installed, as I used a universal.  This unit has no blemishes that I can see and works flawlessly. The McIntosh equipment was removed from the original box and placed in a purpose built cabinet in my Home Theater, until it was removed and placed back in its original storage and shipping box to place in storage.  All was installed and uninstalled by professional Hi-Fi theater installers.

To fully immerse you in your home theater experience, the MX160 features balanced outputs for 11.1 (also known as 7.1.4) audio channels plus 4 auxiliary channels for use in bi-amping your speakers or driving additional subwoofers. For digital music lovers, the MX160 features 4 optical, 3 coaxial and 1 USB inputs that accepts up to 24-bit/192kHz signals plus 1 XLR connector. For analog audio, there are 2 sets of stereo balanced inputs, 4 sets of stereo unbalanced inputs, a dedicated phono input and a set of 7.1 multichannel unbalanced inputs. All analog and digital connections can be custom named for simplified system operation and matched in volume level for a smooth transition between sources.
