Ayon S-5 Network Player/DAC/Preamplifier

We're just going to tell it like it is when it comes to this offering ....."This is one very unique and cool piece!" We're talking about Ayon's Model S-5, Class A, two-box Network Player, DAC and Analog Preamplifier. (Not to be confused with the completely different lower tier Model S-5 XS).

Why so cool? Well quite simply: Tubes!, Separate Power Supply, Runs Cool, Comprehensive Wireless and Network Internet Connections, Comprehensive Digital Inputs & Outputs, RCA & XLR Analog Outputs, ANALOG VOLUME CONTROL, Displayed Tube Life Monitoring and Auto Biasing, Top Shelf Build Quality, and Great Looks. Further the unit can still be used with a separate preamp and/or output to a separate DAC. There's simply not many things that this unique pair of boxes can't due with the assistance of a quality amplifier!

This particular S-5 came to us from the original owner who purchased the unit along with a pair of Ayon Othos Mono blocks in 2014 (See separate ad). Condition is a solid 8/10 with the exception of the remote which clearly exhibits excessive cosmetic wear and tear (see photos). This S-5 unit is fully functional and without issues. The tubes have been refreshed and the unit is complete with original triple boxed packaging and paperwork.

If you know us and our offerings over the years, you'll know our focus and emphasis on "value" regardless of price points. In our opinion, value in High Performance Audio is becoming more and more difficult to find. The S-5 is clearly an exception and hard to beat, particularly for the analog oriented audiophile.
