Discovery Essence

This sale is for a pair of Discovery interconnect cables.  The pair are 40" in length.  They are called Essence, which is their top of the line cables.  I never seen a pair like this that Discovery made, I asked Joe DePhilips  their designer about it and he told me it was an older pair of Essence they made then.   I'm not sure what the material is the plus is made of it looks like Bakelite.    The outside ground it that small copper wire just inside along the plug wall and the copper center conductor is a copper tube "air core' tube.  It works very well.  As the photo shows the ends of the plugs and I had put a directional arrow with my ink pen on each end of each cable.  These plugs are solid plugs they don't come off.     Their are very small arrows if you look closely near the words Essence.  I had trouble seeing them so I made the ink pen arrows.   These are excellent cable in their sound.  I have a lot of Discovery cables mostly their Plus 4 type as well as 2 of each of the Essence, and Signature cables.  I don't need so many so I'm selling some of them off.  They were expensive, the Essence are around $300 a pair and Plus 4 run around $200 a meter.  It's not made  any more Joe told me he is just selling off all his cables he still had in stock about 3 years ago.  I don't see any more for sale by him.   He made me some custom cables years ago and their sound quality is first rate.
