David Berning Co Quadrature Z

For sale is a pair of David Berning Quadrature Z amplifiers, Serial numbers 07423 and 07424.

They were purchased from Hi-Fi One and have been updated to the latest electrical and protection circuit specifications by David Berning. Additionally, a new chassis component is incorporated. The SMc Audio (Steve McCormack) "Gravity Base" that is a twenty-pound copper multi-layer damping and mechanical ground system expressly for these amplifiers. It forms the base of the amplifier, adding stiffness, rigidity, and a termination path for vibrational energy. Stillpoints OEM Ultra bases are installed, and the base will also accept any 1/4-20 pitch 'foot'.      

The Quadrature Z incorporates the latest circuitry trickled down from the flagship 60 watts per channel class A 845 ZOTL. The amplifier will drive very difficult loads based on their patented ZOTL impedance matching circuitry. In this circuit design, 4 x 33JV6 tubes generate 220 watts per channel with 20,000-hourtube life. These amplifiers have built-in AC filtration, weigh 58pounds each, self-bias and run anywhere in the world without adjustment.
