Fully restored and rebuilt with all new audio grade capacitors and factory recommended field improvements. I have 20 years of experience with Plinius amplifiers and preamps and am the factory authorized repair facility in the U.S. The Plinius CD-LAD was the progression of the Plinius preamps from the M-16 and is the processor to the M-8 preamp. Identical circuitry to the M-8 but the M-8 has the rounded faceplate. The CD-LAD has one input for XLR (switchable through the menu) to RCA and two additional RCA inputs. Outputs are balanced or single ended. Also has Processor input so the preamp can be used to accommodate a home theater processor by bypassing the line stage of the preamp.
The CD-LAD sounds great and still retains the Plinius signature sound but with the upgraded components improve on the transients and harmonic resolution and soundstage air. A great buy for someone looking for an excellent preamp for a reasonable price.
