I have a pair of gorgeous Emerald Physics 2.8 carbon drivers & NEO Tweeter in Piano Gloss Black. These are the single amp version so it's the newest upgraded crossover and with new unused BOM. No DSP required. This is one of the last units made.  These are NOT the thin matte black or platic laminate baffles with exposed wiring, these are the thick 3" high gloss black premium baffles that fully conceals the wiring!  These are outstanding speakers and I was debating whether to keep them, but  I still have to get down to my goal of 1 system.   I have original boxes and packaging, buyers to pay actual shipping cost and credit card fees.  I've also included silver plated 8AG replica jumper cables from the crossover to the speaker. The new EP2.8 is the our top of the line speaker. Essentially, it is the EP4.8 with two instead of one 15" open baffle Carbon Fiber woofers.

The replacement for our EP2.7 is the EP2.8. The new top of the line Carbon Series

EP2.8 is a state of the art 3-way 4 driver speaker with 100Db efficiency.

If set up as single amp, full range network configuration, it is 97dB efficient. It can then be upgraded in the users home to either bi-amp or tri-amp operation. In addition to improved sonics you will get an extra 3dB efficiency and better dynamics.

Our controlled dispersion design means that the speakers are not room dependent and work in all rooms.

The two new custom designed Emerald Physics Carbon Fiber Series 15" woofers and 12" midrange drivers provide increased speed, transparency and resolution. Midrange smear is completely eliminated. Compare the EP2.8 to speakers selling for many times their Price.

In addition to the new 12" Carbon Fiber midrange and two 15" woofers the EP2.8 uses our Emerald Neodymium Polyester-Diaphram compression tweeter and an improved crossover over the original EP2.7 that it replaces. Reviewers have said this tweeter outperforms some highly regarded ribbon drivers.

The innovation continues in the Bass range with our unique Aperture Bass Propagation Technology. This proprietary system is used for the two custom Emerald 15" carbon Fiber dipole woofers. This design increases low frequency power and linearity, while improving on the speed and articulation of the original CS2 and older CS2.7. We get an additional 3dB of bass output with this technology. The new Emerald designed 15" carbon Fiber woofer moves 80% more air than the original CS2.3 and CS2.7 woofers so a single 15 gets us almost as much bass as the dual 15's of the older models. The new 2.8 also adds our unique Bass Reservoir technology to our Apature Bass Loading to further improve bass response from previous open baffle designs.Bass Reservoir gets us another 1.5dB of output.

In single amp dress it is 97dB efficient so small amps (20 watts or better) will work quite well. It goes to 35Hz full range unless you use our DSP or analog BOM where we extends the bass to 20Hz and also improve frequency linearity. Once bi-amped or tri-amped the efficiency goes up to 100dB for even great dynamics. Pick a large amp for the bass and any amp with over 10 watts or more for the midrange/highs. Use an Emerald, 200 watts per channel, EP200.2SE for the bass and our 100wpc EP100.2SE for the midrange/highs for a perfectly sonic matched package.
