Chief designer for the Signature Series components Ken Ishiwata designed this amp and a matching SACD/CD player for his 30'th anniversary with the company. Only 500 were made. It has a very respectable phono section and a wide bandwidth input to accept your prime digital source. Two addl line inputs and two tape loops. Pre-amp outputs for a sub are available. The amp is powerful and smooth. It has a very rich feel and look, all inputs and functions are relay coupled sealed switches so sonic degradation will not occur over time. The Volume control works in .5 db steps and I can vouch for this amps function delivering the goods at very low output into highly efficient speakers, actually this is where many amps sound there worst. Actually in playing at levels of around .1 volt the sound is full rich and robust.
See my links below for reviews. IN the Stereophile an interesting note is in the measuments check the absolutely perfect square wave response and the distortion graph shows the noise floor WAY below the distortion and also the presence of a full spectrum odd and even distortion figures. THIS AMP MEASURES LIKE TUBE AMP WITH NO NOISE.
The amp will be double boxed with original packing and box inside another box with packing.
