McIntosh MC-2100 audio amplifier in good condition. Massive power supply with twin output transformers for speaker impedance matching with warm, authoritative sound. It can be run in stereo, or bridged operation as a monoblock amplifier.

| Will this item need to be recapped and RCA inputs replaced ? Would you consider $500 include shipping ? Regards To my knowledge, the parts are all original, but are working fine. There is no sign of leaking from the caps, and the RCA inputs. Full disclosure, I once had an issue with the mono/stero switch sticking, but toggling it a few times cleared that up. At this point, I am going to stay with my original offer, as I think its a pretty good price for the amp's condition.
Also, full disclosure, it's not pristine. Its a bit of a cliche that people rate their condition "conservatively an 8/10". I think 8/10 is accurate - there is a small spot you can see on the cage just above the third bank of transistors, and there are a few marks on the tops of the transformers, but otherwise, the chrome and lettering are beautifully sharp and clear. |
