McIntosh XRT1K Speakers : awe inspiring and utterly musical - amazing price!

One of the best speakers available at anywhere near this price (the Audiogon Bluebook used average is $26280). The pair for sale is in perfect working condition & excellent cosmetic condition. It was part of my all-McIntosh home theater system which is all for sale (pre/pro, amps, source, etc). I think the new audiogon communication system is cumbersome at best. With dual 10” woofers, XRT1K has a more powerful and dynamic bass response than was achievable in prior models. The high-gloss, piano black extruded aluminum enclosure is extra deep to allow top-porting. A new woofer casting permits the XRT1K to have an unusually narrow profile for a loudspeaker with 1,200 watts of power handling and its 8 ohm impedance is easy on amplifiers.
