Meridian 568.2mm Digital Surround Processor

This is the MM version with the DB15 SmartLink connection. The original DB15-DB15 Smartlink cable is included, though it will only be of much use if you have a 598DP DVD-Audio player or the 513 patch box which converts the DB15 Smartlink into 3xRCA Smartlink for connection to more modern sources like the Meridian HD621 HDMI solution. You can also use a typical DB15 to 3xRCA component video or RGB video cable to connect the HD621 to the 568.2mm as well. This will let you keep the 568.2mm relevant in the HDMI generation, though you'll need to get a HD621 as well.

Has the final 2.5b9 firmware loaded. Smaller than typical A/V components; it's the standard 13"w 14"d 4"w Meridian 500 series form factor. Includes the MSR remote, though I just controlled it using a universal remote. Meridian 500 series used RC5 codes, so a lot easier to program than trying to learn from the MSR.

Requires a DB9 serial attached Windows computer to configure fully. Computer doesn't have to be attached to use the 568.2mm, just to configure it. The program can be downloaded from Meridian. Be sure to use the older meridian.exe program, not the newer Mconfig.exe that is for the newer G series gear.
