These remarkable and rare Tuning & Resonance products are the other side of the street called acoustic room treatments. One seeks to flatten a rooms response like a vacuum cleaner for sound waves. The other is about Tuning the surfaces of the room to control the resonance, much like a soundboard on an instrument. The difference is in how these Pressure Zone Controls leave the room feeling and sounding OPEN and NATURAL, without constraint. The instrument grade Cherry on one side is controlled by a brass tuning mechanism in the center to control the amount of coupling for resonance drain while the absorption side is covered in a classy grey fabric.

I have vastly improved this product over my factory originals by replacing the aluminum foil faced insulation with Roxul Acoustic to enable both room tuning or traditional absorption, depending upon how you set them up. These are used in commercial orchestral stage settings and well known-recording venues around the world. The bottom-line is, learn to use them and set-up your room properly and you’ll experience, as I did, the best sound of your audio life.

The natural finish on the cherry hardwood is quite remarkable, definitely fine-furniture quality. The cherry hardwood is solid cherry, not veneer. The wood finishes are all in excellent condition. Normal wear and functionality for 4 year old products.
