Modwright Sony DVP 9000ES with Signature Truth Mods

This is a Modwright "Signature Truth" Tube modified Sony DVP-9000ES SACD/CD/DVD player. This level contains everything listed in stages I, II, and III and then some. This is the tubed modification, so two tubes poke up from the unit's cover.

The tube stage features an outboard power supply the PS 9, connected to the player via a custom umbilical.

Additional upgrades for this unit included:

Bybee Filter Upgrades: Bybee filters are hard-wired inside the unit at the AC mains providing power to the whole unit.

I pushed the envelope even further by having Dan Wright use tantalum resistors, Mundorf caps, and the Alan Kimmel Mu stage + LC Audio X03 SuperClock, Cardas jacks, AC and Slipstream ByBee filters. All told, I invested $2,600 in parts and labor in a unit that was very decent in its stock form ($1000) back in the day.

The owner's manual and original remote will be included with the Modwright Signature Truth Modded Sony DVP-9000ES unit + Dan Wright's outboard PS 9 for the analog tube circuit output stage + special umbilical cord to connect the two. A power cord for the main unit will be included.

I'm selling it because I have not listened to it for awhile. Even though it is better than computer audio, I just don't spin discs any longer and it is time for someone else to enjoy this heavily modded unit. It works & sounds great. I'm giving it a 7 out of 10 only because of its age.
