B&W 802 Series 80
Serial numbers 000527 and 000528
Original owner purchased in 1983
and given the best care possible over the years. Oiled with Old English furniture treatment
and fabric vacuumed regularly. These speakers have held a special place in my
heart and have been one of my most treasured possessions. I have struggled to keep them as new as
possible over the 30 life span and never intended to part with them. When not in use for a few of those years they
were kept in storage in the factory boxes.
The boxes deteriorated over the years and were discarded so I will build
custom crates for shipping. I only ask
for material costs. The last two years
they have been covered in plastic in my office and not hooked up. When they were powered up they sounded as
marvelous as the day I bought them. A
few sad cosmetic issues of which I can supply photos but other than a tweeter
that I replaced four years ago, there have been no issues. I also built custom stands for the speakers
that I never used. Ask for photos of
those if you’d be interested in a separate sale.
I do not have the technical
specs available nor do I have the manual.

But these models do not have the
“Environmental Controls” on the back of the heads.
Please email me with your
questions and I will do my best to answer them.
These speakers are heavy, estimated to be 70 lbs each, so shipping will
have to be freight. The crates will
probably add another 10lbs each.
