Dali Loudspeakers Opticon 2 Monitor

For sale is a pair of Dali Opticon 2 monitor speakers. I do not believe I have ever seen a pair of these offered for sale here or on that other website that sells high end equipment. And for good reason, as these are a magnificent sounding set of monitor speakers. The highs from these speakers are clear and engaging, the midrange to die for and the lower frequencies are good to about 42Hz with good presence if driven with a decent amplifier. I have used these speakers with both a solid state amp and also tubes. These are an easy 4 ohm load with about a 90 db efficiency. I bought these new from an authorized Dali dealer in September of 2016. These have seen light use but are broken in. While I tend to be conservative on my ratings of things I sell, these truly look brand new. They came out of the box, went onto the speaker stands and have not moved since. These are finished in a nice black vinyl with a glossy black front baffle that creates a very striking image. These speakers come from a home where no one smokes, there are no kids, and the dog has expressed no interest in playing with my audio equipment so he is a non-factor as well.

I have the original box and I will make sure the speakers are well packed. If these are to be shipped for a long distance, I will seriously consider triple boxing them.

Shipping will be to the continental USA only unless the buyer is willing to cover the extra costs to their location. Shipping will be based on actual rates. Please be advised that I have a FedEx account of my own and while shipping rates for FedEx and UPS are on the rise (FedEx just upped their rates about 10%) I do get a discount with FedEx, plus I find them to be kinder to things electric as opposed to the people in brown. Local pick-up is fine and if you are in the Seattle or Portland area I can drive some distance to meet if that helps. Cash is great for the face to face meeting and PayPal users I will split the fees at my asking price. I will enter offers but be realistic in your offers. These speakers are $1400 new and are only four months old so lowball offers will be ignored, politely....

Lastly, the reason for the sale of these: I am selling these begrudgingly. I have changed amps and I have more power now that I really need but the amp was a bargain so I grabbed it. I do not want to accidentally "fry" these speakers as the amp puts out about three times what the Opticon 2 can handle at its max rating. So, I am moving up the Dali Opticon ladder but these need to go to help fund that purchase. All of here in the land of the high end know what that is about.
