King Sound Princess IIa Hybrid Electrostatic Book Shelf Speakers

Speakers of ESL's as they are often called, have held a lofty position with audiophiles for half a century.  With their inherent greater detail, resoluiton, accuracy, and lack of listener fatigue, they are often considered a reference by which to judge all other speakers.

The engineers at King Sound were devoted proponents of ESL's and astutely aware of their untapped potential.  So in 2002 they began with a clean slate and fresh approach to their basic concept, design, and construction.  Starting with the electrostatic panel itself, they developed new materials, coatings and manufacturing process to launch a brand new family of electrostatic speakers.  One in which retained the most revered aspects pf ESL's yet achieved many attributes of more conventional speaker designs. 

The Princess IIa is the third generation of the original Princess electrostatic-hybrid bookshelf speaker.  This design offeres many virtues of our larger speakers and ESL technology into a compact, affordable and esy to locate stand mounted speaker.  Update include a new extended range 6" acoustic suspension woofer, improved cross-over and latest technology ESL panel.  The result is a very linear speaker with impressive high frequency detail, bandwidth and overall balance.  The ESL Panel is now vented at the rear of the cabinet through a single port.
