Meridian M-30

From the estate of the late Dr. Arthur Loesch, inventor of the famous Loesch Phono Circuit, comes this pair of used Meridian M30 powered speakers. They have been fully tested and appear to be in perfect working condition.

The M30 uses KEF drivers and each contains a built-in, 70 watt Meridian amplifier. They feature an 8-position set of dip switches which can be set to match room acoustics or take into account freestanding or shelf placement. The cabinets each measure 7" wide by 15" deep and 12" high (18 x 38 x 30 cm.). They have a frequency response of 38Hz - 20KHz +/- 3 dB and an SPL rating of 106 dB. The built-in amps make the M30's relatively compact and from a listener's point of view, these are a nice entry or mid-level set, suitable for an office, second system, or small audio room. Just add a CD player or other source that has its own volume control and they're ready to play.

The cloth on the factory-supplied grille covers was distressed, so it was replaced with a somewhat heavier fabric, which is bulkier looking than the original, mainly at the edges. While the covers are serviceable, you may prefer to remove them altogether or have them recovered professionally with a thinner cloth. There are a few minor blemishes on the black painted veneer and some of the damping material on the sides of one of the tweeters is missing. While these issues do not affect functionality, the pair is priced accordingly.

These speakers are set up for 120V 60Hz operation in North America. Shipping weight is about 35 lbs each and they will be sent in two separate cartons.
