ProAc Response One SC Cherry finish

WOW!!!  This might be the cleanest pair of 18 year old bookshelf speakers you've ever seen.  They are absolutely stunning.  I'm guessing the sun has faded them just a bit over time, but if it has it's done in a good way.  The cherry finish is spectacular, the cloth grills are in perfect order with no rips or tears, and the drivers and surrounds look like new.

The Response One SC is an 8 ohm, 86dB sensitivity, stand mount, 2-way, reflex loaded loudspeaker.  It has a .75" cloth dome tweeter and 5" polypropylene woofer.

I suppose I should get to the important stuff....like how do they sound?  Well, they would very likely be the best sounding $2500 bookshelf speaker I've ever heard.  Perfectly balanced, easy to listen to, never too bright, and bass that seems to be unreal coming from a speaker this size.  I tested these babies with a Linn Majik DSM and streamed all sorts of music from Tidal.  From Pink Floyd to Diana Krall and then some Rolling Stones to Alice in Chains.  They seemed to have a huge, wide and deep soundstage with all types of music.  I was having a hard time believing what I was hearing so I did an internet search and found a Stereophile review from 1998 that justified my ears.  It was a positively glowing review of these speakers.
