Salk Sound Silk Monitors like new

These are the Salk Silk monitors in a mahogany veneer with a rose-red dye and a satin lacquer finish. They're a 2-way passive monitor using a RAAL ribbon tweeter and a ScanSpeak Illuminator 5.5 inch driver. They're incredibly smooth and detailed, and get surprisingly low for a bookshelf speaker, with a 43 Hz F3 response! The front port also significantly increases the ease of positioning compared to a rear ported speaker, so they could be used as desktop monitors and placed closer to a wall. If you're familiar with Salk, you'll know that Jim's work is unparalleled between the furniture-grade quality of the cabinets and veneers and Dennis Murphy's incredible crossovers. Pictures cannot really do these speakers justice as they're stunning in-person.

I love these speakers and have only owned them a few months, but the RAAL ribbon has already ruined every other tweeter for me because it is so darn good. Unfortunately I am revamping my entire setup and want to move to floorstanders, most likely in the Salk lineup. I'm the only owner and have a child- and smoke-free household. I conservatively rated them a 9/10 for condition only because they're not brand new, but they're in immaculate condition.
