The Usher Audio R 6.0 is a REFERENCE-GRADE 6 channel amp for surround sound applications. Fresh trade form our most meticulous customer who decided to take his system in a different direction, and used it only occasionally in a second system for about 3 years.

Its audiophile characteristics based on circuits licensed from Pass Labs enable it to be successfully utilized in a dual purpose system of audiophile 2 channel and multi channel home theater with equal poise and performance.

I've had several occasions to listen to this stellar amp during various phases of the custom installation for our customer of on-wall and in-wall Egglestonworks speakers (also available), and I would characterize the sound as tubelike, 3 dimensional, resolving and very controlled in the low frequencies. It's a powerful sound, but also refined, musically engaging, and non-fatiguing. Truly the best of both tube and solid state, not unlike Pass Labs designs on which it is based.

Built like a tank, this 85 pound beast has a very high current delivery capability and can easily drive speakers exhibiting an awkward load. Revel, Sonus Faber, Dynaudio and many other popular speakers are easily driven to their full dynamic capability by the R 6.0.
