Classe CAV-75 Multichannel Amplifier

6 channels @ 75W (8Ohm), each pair of channels is bridgeable to 150W, so it's a 6, 5, 4, or 3 channel amp. (6x75W, 4x75W + 1x150W, 2x75W + 2x150W, or 3x150W).  Super flexible.

This amp has seen light use in a home theater in a non-smoking house.  Well cared for, I've never had a problem with it.  Condition is maybe 'good plus' - there are no scratches, and the only cosmetic flaws are a couple of very minor nicks on the top edge of the faceplate (can't really see in the photos, but I'm picky), and some very minor dents in the plastic nuts of the speaker binding posts.

Amp is heavy for the size, near 50lb - solid construction with a pretty beefy power supply.  I always liked Classe's design philosophy, and in the years I've had it I've appreciated what I consider to be very good sound for the price. "All Classé products (all preamps and all amps) share exactly the same circuit (excluding moving coil and moving magnet phono circuits). This means all amplifiers and all high level circuits of the preamps are the same. The same circuit is tailored to different power levels etc. Differences between less expensive models and more expensive models are parts quality and compliment, power supply extravagance and the amount of filtering etc., as well as features and packaging. This means that for years Classé has been constantly fine tuning and upgrading this circuit and its application, thus reaching a very high level of understanding and musical achievement which benefits all models - least expensive, most expensive, preamps and amplifiers alike."

Questions for the seller
Hi, can you tell me how you configure to a 3 x 150 ? Thx, Jim
Yes - the third photo I posted shows an interior close-up of the jumpers for one channel used to select bridged or stereo. There are a pair of these jumpers for each pair of channels. So to create a 150w channel, you open the case and move the jumpers to the BRIDGED position, now those two 75w channels are one 150w channel. You can do this for any or all of the stereo pairs, so if you moved all the jumpers to BRIDGED you would then have three 150w channels. Once you have a bridged channel, you hook a speaker up to the outputs according to the manual. (The manual, which comes with the amp, outlines this procedure well, with diagrams.)
