I am selling my non 3D like new Onkyo TX-NR5007
9 channel HT amplifier 145x9 =1305 watts
Honestly I was intoxicated by all the media and 3D hype so much so that I purchased ALL new home theater components: 65” 3D Panasonic plasma, cables, and the new Onkyo 3D 5008 amp, Nvidia 3D video card for the HT media PC, half a dozen pair 3D glasses etc etc etc.
So now… a year later.. I have watched all my “7” of my 3D movies and bored all my friends with 3D. I’m left wondering why I dumped well over ten grand into the new picture in picture fad?? Expensive mistake! There is zero difference in amp’s other than the newer passes 3D video. Don’t get me wrong I love my new 65” plasma but honestly I don’t watch 3D any longer… never. Sadly I don’t play video games or 3D movies on my Panasonic Plasma. You simply cannot go part way into the 3D scam… You’ve been warned.
Onkyo manufactures detailed specs:
So up for sale: Onkyo TX-NR5007 with maybe 20-25 movies or time on this unit. This amp plays an ipod or my preference FLAC audio files. It sounds and works wonderful with my Martin Logan Spires HT setup. I had it configured in 5.1 with bridged front mains to my Martin Logan’s. This amp has the infamous 192kHz/32bit Burr-Brown DAC’s. This amp sounds amazing and is cosmetically perfect! The amp is literally brand new. I am “that guy” you know the guy who takes meticulous care with all his stuff? Yes I’m that guy…
I have taken high res photos from all angles in bright sun light showing every detail. It really is a wonderful non 3D home theater/audio amp.
I would prefer not to ship (local pickup maybe) as this unit weighs in at 65lbs in the shipping box. I would guess shipping will be expensive depending on where you live? Probably even a hundred bucks??
So with Paypal, Audiogon, S/H, and insurance fee’s approaching $200 I would offer the amp at $1500.00 with splitting the fee’s.
