For sale today we have a fantastic pair of EL-8 headphones from Audeze out of California. These superbly-built headphones employ planar magnetic drivers. Unlike the typical dynamic or cone drivers found in most headphones, planar magnetic headphones produce sound by means of a thin membrane embedded with a lattice of neodymium magnets. This entire membrane is pushed and pulled to form soundwaves, which not only means your music is incredibly detailed and accurate, but also rich and responsive across the entire spectrum. The lightweight nature of the membrane means it can move with a faster and tighter response than bulkier cone drivers, thus increasing resolution. Additionally, the large driver size means that the low-end always remains full and tonal, always musical and never cheap or boomy.

The EL-8's represent an entry-level into high quality planar magnetic headphones while being affordable enough for many to afford this outstanding company. These are our demo models, and have spent their time with us mostly kept safe in their case. These are the closed-back design, which makes them ideal for those who wish for a totally enclosed listening experience, free from outside noise interference or giving off too much noise yourself.
