ModWright LLC SWP-9.0 SE (silver) superb tube MC or MM phono preamp

Absolutely superb tube MC or MM phono preamplifier in silver finish in very good condition.  This unit is truly a "giant killer", capable of fantastic sound at a modest price!  Compares favorably to much more expensive rigs from Audio Research, Levinson, Krell, Ayre and the like!  Musically, it kills most of them!  Greg Weaver of Positive Feedback (online) magazine tested it and said:  "highly robust and enthusiastically musical one at that. The 9.0SE is unrelenting in its desire to sing the music it plays, to dance in the melodic joy of its own voice. It is an unquestioned triumph; one that you should consider most seriously should you be in the market for a phono stage at any price."   Quite high praise for a moderate cost (by comparison) phono pre!  In great shape and was re-tubed about a year ago, so still hundreds of hours left of the tubes!   Unit has up to 66db of gain, more than enough for even very low output moving coils. Unit has RCA inputs and outputs.  No XLRs.   Tube compliment is:   (2)6C45's, (2)6N1P's, (2)5687 tubes Paypal adds 3%.  This model rarely shows up on the used market due to it's comparitive rarity and popularity.  Grab it while you can or you may be waiting a while for another one to show up!
