Why the RS-35 was arguably the King of 2D image quality.  This auction is for my prized JVC RS-35 projector.  Don’t be confused by some of the later model projectors with a higher model number.  The RS-35 was the king of 2D video quality for many years even after it was discontinued.  Many later JVC projectors used panels with a faster panel response in order to support 3D video.    Unfortunately this caused some artifacts with 2D images.  Many later projectors also did not match the 70,000:1 native contrast and quality of the hand matched panels of the RS-35.  This RS-35 throws a wonderfully smooth, but sharp, and high contrast image.         
This projector was one of the few that was calibrated by William Phelps.  Mr. Phelps is well known as a top calibrator.  As part of this calibration, the color correction, gamma and shading were enhanced.

New Optical Block!  The optical block was replaced at the end of the 3 year warranty. So the panels and rest of the optical block are ~3 years newer than the manufacturing date.  The optical block has been completely trouble free since that time.
