Linn Kinos System Controller

This is Linn's second best
Cinema Processor, just under the Kisto.

It listed for over $7,000
when new.  Some on the Linn user

boards say that it is
sonically superior to the Akurate Kontrol.

 

I was using the Kinos as a 2
channel set up in my bedroom. 

Previously I was using a
Linn 5103 and  I found that the
Kinos was a big upgrade.  At the
time I was looking for the Linn sound for 2 channel stereo

 and I didn't want to sacrifice any quality for a 5.1 or 7.1
channel set up.

 

This is a non hdmi unit, so you
will have to run optical to the Kinos's

digital inputs.  The sound codecs are excellent.  One can also take

advantage of the 5.1 or 7.1
pre-amp inputs and run an Oppo for

SACD playback.

 

Typically Linn, some of the
buttons on the Kinos can be problematic.

I used the Linn remote and a
Harmony Remote to control the Kinos.

 

There are some scratches on
the top of the unit.  The front is
clean.

The sale includes a linn
remote, manual and a generic power cord.
