For sale a Mcintosh MX-135 DD/DTS/DD-EX/DTS-ES 7.1 HT processor balance inputs and outputs with optional TM1 AM/FM tuner
What not to like about this processor? It is an awesome piece of audio gear for the center hub of your audio cabinet. It is made for both HT and 2 channels enthusiastic with balance outputs and inputs for a pure audio reproduction. It doesn't have HDMI switching but why would you want to hook up your video source to a processor? Wouldn't it be better to hook your video source directly to your display which designed to render your video? I always hooked up all my video source directly to my TV for the most pure video signal without a lot of change to degrade the video signal.
I have been using this for 2 channels stereo. Wow! It sounds better than most of the dedicated 2 channels stereo preamp on the market. The sound is bold with solid bass, hi and mid are crisp and details, cymbal crash is like real.
It has a timeless look of Mcintosh signature display of fiber optic and LED lighting with the glass front. It is a gorgeous piece of audio equipment.
The unit was part of a hi-end HT custom installation. It has hardly been used because the owner traveled all the time (probably 60 hrs is the most) It is in perfectly working order. Physically, it is in mint shape. All the lights, the glass are all in perfect shape. There are a couple very minor flaws (please view the pictures for more details). You won't see them unless you get very close to look for them.
The processor will come with the power cord. The original remote control is also missing. But I bought a replacement one that was designed for the MX135 and control all the functions of i. It might look and feel better than the original remote.
