This has been an excellent analog preamp for my second system for a few years. My office is now phono only (I'm using the excellent GCPH from PS Audio). No kids, pets, smoke has been near this preamp.
The amazing thing about this preamp is the variable gain setup, or "gain cell" as they called it. There is no attenuation as in a normal preamp, this unit simply varies the gain. Check out PS Audio's website for an in-depth explanation.
Long story short, it's time for this wonderful preamp to find a new home. The only other preamp that I know of with a variable gain system is the Ayre KXR at a lot more money!
