For sale is a ultra high performance passive line-level preamp, a Reference Line Preeminence 1B Series II. Superb cosmetic and operational condition. It has 2 balanced and 3 RCA inputs, and both balanced and RCA outputs. Highest quality attenuation control for each channel. Rating of 8 is on the safe side. Manual and box were long tossed, sorry. No remote. Will get pictures soon.
The availability of balanced input/output on this preamp seems to me a very important factor to its great performance. Balanced signal path allows larger voltage swing. As you may find out, almost all passive preamps only have RCA in/out.
