This 1949 session from one of the all-time jazz greats features fellow heavyweights Miles Davis, Freddie Green, Budd Johnson and others. Sarah Vaughn in her prime.

Note: there is a production scuff at the very beginning of Side C but is only audible as a couple of very soft ‘ticks’ – hence 8/10.

This record from my private collection has been played 5 or fewer times on a VPI TNT-6 turntable with an Air Tight PC-1 cartridge. Before playing, records are cleaned on a VPI 16.5 using L’Art du Son cleaning fluid. Records are stored vertically in a Music Direct LP case in a pet-free, smoke-free, child-free environment. LPs have been kept and are shipped in archival anti-static sleeves with record jackets in archival quality outer sleeves. Purchased factory sealed and always handled very carefully, the vinyl is essentially in the condition when first opened.
