I own two of these amps, but I not know what the differences are between the units, except that I think on was the SLAM version - I was told that they both had upgrades such as improved capacitors, but I cannot vouch for the truth as I have no paperwork. Plus, the builder was a strange guy - someone, I am guessing the builder, has stripped the hex-screws holding the case on so I cannot get inside to see that is there. I am guessing the builder did this because i had an entry level unit that I could not get into - I sent it to him for repairs 4 years ago and never got it back. So, even tho I was told there are upgrades, I cannot say for sure whether or not there are.

They both sound great, tho - I cannot tell any difference sonically between the two - I used one in the living room, and the other in my office.

The two amps I own have been mixed up, have no differences in appearance or labeling, and sound the same to me.

I can vouch that I paid well over $1k used for both of the MPX3's that I own - I remember it as $1200 each - so they were advertised as upgraded versions - I bought them used, and am the second owner

-- Triode Headphone Amplifier by SinglePower --

Single Power headphone amps have a cult status, but due to poor business practices, spotty quality control on late models, and a few reports of units catching on fire, the company is no longer in existence. (I believe it was basically a one man show) -- But these are very well reviewed by 6 moons, and were frequently discussed on HeadFi forums with people pitting Single Pwwer against Ray Samuels Raptor - I own both, and the Singlepower is to my ears a richer, more lush, seductive and engaging sound. --

I am the second owner - I have never had any problems with this unit. It does not run hot, even with many hours of high gain listening, and I am only selling because I own two and am selling off extra gear.

Original list was somewhere between $1500 and $2000 - I bought it on Audiogon from original owner for $1200 three years ago --

It uses three 6SN7 tubes - one as a driver, and two as power tubes --

I am including a new quad of NOS GE 6SN7's - I will also include the two Sylvania and the Dumont as installed in the pics --

PAYPAL Preferred - no fees
