Audio Research 300.2

Selling my ARC 300.2 power amp as I move to mono blocks next. Fantastic build quality, effortless power and presentation. Check out the ARCDB website on this product. I am the second owner and moved up to this amp from an older 100.2. While the sound signature was similar, the 300.2 is so much easier to live with and I love that it only used 50 watts in idle so I could leave it running during the weekends. I've owned so many amps, but next to my First Watt J2, the ARC 300.2 is a special sounding amp with even more inner detail then a Luxman 550ia.
Cosmetically this amp is in excellent condition, shows very well. Faceplate is without blemish, the only thing of note is the prior owner set his preamp on top and there is the faintest wear marks in the four corners that are just barely visible in my photo. I tried different lighting and the photo of the screws on the left side is not rust, I was getting a reddish glare with my DSLR camera. This same reddish glare also comes through heavy with the last picture of the packaging. Speaking of packaging, this thing is triple boxed behind 6 inches of protection!

I partnered this ARC with my current for sale YS Audio tube preamp and a Classe CP500 that I also sold. The ARC amps are true to their source and let you hear all variables that you change in your system. While this amp is set up to accept both single ended and balanced, trust me when I say that you ONLY want to run this amp in balanced mode; the sound staging and clarity is no contest. Original power cord included, I do not have the manual.
