Bryston SST 4B amp

Here is my Bryston amp. Used formerly in a classical music reference system. I have gone to a different system. So far I have sold the PRE, and the crossover is now on an active listing. The amp was working perfectly when I stopped using it. I have looked carefully with a bright LED light, and I see no marks or scratches other than as shown in the images here. To me, it would rate Audiogon's "mint" classification aside from the age requirement.  One pet free home, no smokers, original owner. For that matter, no kids either - a bachelor home. The Bryston warranty extends to XXXX.

The amp does weigh the 55 pounds the listing states, so expect somewhat costly shipping to protect it. One buyer recently emailed me his own account's mailing label for me to use. That is actually pretty clever and a good idea, because it prevents anyone from secretly marking up shipping - costs are charged to the buyer's shipping account whatever they are. I like it. If you have your own shipping account, I recommend using it. I have my own new bubble wrap but I will probably need to buy a new carton and have it custom fitted. If you want me to pay for shipping, that will be calculated by UPS or FedEx once I have the buyer's address. I use lots of bubble wrap and large cartons, so expect shipping to cost some money.

Just for comparison, the selling price of this amp new in today's dollars would be $7,230! That is the effect of inflation since 1977.

Bryston advises that the date of manufacture was March of 2003, so the warranty should run to March 2023.
