Carver C9 Sonic Hologram unit

I will be offering a few rebuilt and upgraded units here. With this unit, you will receive the following upgrades: 1) Original transformer replaced with a more substantial unit that produces a fuller sound.
2) Upgraded quality Manley RCA jacks for best connections.
3) All electrolytic capacitors replaced with better quality types. Old capacitors should always be replaced, so it is an opportunity to use better products.
4) 1% resistors in the signal path provide best possible signal transfer.
5) Power cord has been replaced, and an AC switch has been added to the rear panel.
6) even the old hard rubber feet have been replaced with soft silicone feet.
  If you are not aware of the intent of this unit in the signal chain, then let me explain. In short it provides an incredible improvement in soundstage and performers' position within that soundstage. That is accomplished by means of cross cancellation signals. These signals negate unwanted right and left sounds in respect to one another. That means stereo will perform as desired when your left ear hears Only the left channel information, and your right ear hears Only the right channel information. The result increases the illusion of a live performance more than any other 2 channel presentation. ...........................................After having used the C9 for a couple decades, it occurred to me that maybe some sort performance enhancement could be had by just upgrading some of the old parts. That led to years of experimentation and success to the present state of these modded/rebuilt units.
