The CA-2100 may have been Classe's entry level amp (yes, their entry level starts at $4,000) but it sounded so "un-entry level". In fact, it is quite a spectacular amp for the money. It was clear, had lots of definition, a solid bass and a very rich mid-range sound. Paired with our B&W CM9 speakers, music was crisp and fast. The rated 100W/8 ohm was more than sufficient and will double up to 200W in 4 ohms if you are going to pair it with a pair of 4 ohm speakers. The amp is fully balanced in design with an intricate protection circuitry to protect the amp if a problem arises.
Built quality is first class as usual and the signature curved front corners makes it a thing of beauty. Cosmetically, the unit is in good shape. Minor scuff marks here and there but nothing major. We have the original box. Manual is available online. We have the matching CD player, DVD player, AV preamp to make a complete, resplendent Classe setup if you want to build a system and keep everything in the family.
