The reason I'm willing to sell so cheap is because there are two steps
in the volume control that do not function. It's really not that big of a
deal because you can turn it up or down a single notch and all works fine without any dropouts.
Alternatively, you can go inside and try re-soldering these two steps. It
does not have a remote, but it was built by DI Y HiFi Supply using silver
wiring and RFI rejecting paint. It looks different from the ones they are selling today. This unit does not come with a remote. It's transparent and reveals all the detail present on a given CD.
